Starboard
Set wishlist and print thresholds for your starboard channel.
The starboard reposts standout drops to a dedicated channel. A drop is starboarded when any card in it meets either threshold — high wishlist or low print.
Basic Setup#
Set the channel and both thresholds in one command:
/config karuta starboard channel:#starboard wishlist_threshold:500 print_threshold:999| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| channel | The channel standout drops are reposted to |
| wishlist_threshold | Minimum wishlist count to trigger the starboard |
| print_threshold | Maximum print number to trigger the starboard |
Choosing Thresholds#
Good starting points depend on your server's activity:
| Server size | Suggested wishlist_threshold | Suggested print_threshold |
|---|---|---|
| Small (< 200 members) | 200 | 999 |
| Medium (200–1000) | 400–600 | 500–999 |
| Large (1000+) | 800+ | 100–250 |
Adjust until the starboard channel gets a healthy volume without being flooded.
Karuta Only#
By default the starboard triggers on both server drops and user drops. To restrict it to Karuta server drops only, use the interactive config menu:
/config menuNavigate to Starboard and toggle Karuta Only.
Bypass Role#
Users with the bypass role can manually add any drop to the starboard, regardless of thresholds. Configure it through the config menu:
/config menuNavigate to Starboard → Bypass Role and select the role.
Troubleshooting#
If drops aren't appearing in the starboard:
Confirm the starboard channel is set with /config view
Confirm Card Companion has Send Messages and Embed Links permission in the starboard channel. Run /check-permissions in that channel.
Check the thresholds — a drop only posts if a card meets either condition, not both.
